Doctor Visits

Medical visits can be overwhelming. This page helps you prepare, communicate clearly, and leave with a plan that makes sense.

Before the visit

  • Pick your top 1–2 concerns.
  • Write down when it started, triggers, and what helps.
  • Bring your medication + supplement list.
  • If possible, bring a friend/family member for support.

During the visit

  • Start with: “My top concern today is ____.”
  • Ask for the plan in 3 parts: what we think, what we’re doing, when to follow up.
  • If something is unclear: “Can you say that in plain language?”

After the visit

  • Write down the plan the same day.
  • Schedule follow-ups while motivation is fresh.
  • If side effects appear after a new med, call sooner rather than waiting.

Start with these

Pro tip The best visits happen when you set a simple agenda: 1–2 main concerns + medication review + next steps.
